Nevada
EcoNet Endowment
Fund
We sincerely hope that
our community will
cease to need Nevada
EcoNet's services,
and that in the future
every day will truly
be Earth Day. In
the meantime, however,
EcoNet
has established an endowment
fund to ensure that
EcoNet's programs and
services will continue
to receive support
as long as needed.
The
Nevada EcoNetip
Endowment Fund was created
in spring of 2005 through
donations by board members,
staff and friends. It
is managed by the Community
Foundation of Western
Nevada. Gifts to our
fund are leveraged with
other contributions to
create a pool of funds
we can use to support
our programs through
disbursements from the
interest accrued. Donations
to the fund are invested
or held short-term by
the Community Foundation.
The
Community Foundation
of Western Nevada is
a public nonprofit foundation,
and a gift to Environmental
Leaderships Endowment
Fund is tax deductible
to the extent allowable
by law. Your gift to
EcoNet's fund can be
anonymous, with the Community
Foundation acknowledging
your donation for tax
purposes. To make a
gift, simply write
your check to the Community
Foundation of Western
Nevada and put “Environmental
Leadership Fund” on
the memo portion of
your check. You can
also conveniently and
simply contribute to
EcoNet’s fund through
the Community Foundation’s
website, www.cfwnv.org.
The Community Foundation
can also accept gifts
of securities, real
property, and planned
gifts such as Charitable
Remainder Trusts and
Charitable Annuities.
They are happy to talk
with you and your financial
advisor about planned
giving that will both
benefit your estate
or tax situation and
EcoNet’s
charitable fund.
If
you believe in EcoNet’s
work to inform our
community of environmental
groups, services,
and issues, please
consider adding a
bequest to EcoNet
in your estate planning,
or giving a gift
now that can benefit
EcoNet in the future.
Your donation to
our endowment fund,
and to our long-term
success, is greatly
appreciated!
