Buckbean Brewing Company to Donate a Portion of Their Tasting Room Revenue to Nevada EcoNet as Part of American Craft Beer Week
The brewery will be donating a portion their tasting room revenue to the organization during the week of May 13-May 17th. This donation is part of Buckbean’s participation in the American Craft Beer Week event – each participating brewery is asked to partner with a local charity during the week of the event and donate a portion of their revenue.
The brewery is located at 1155 S. Rock Blvd, Suite 490 Reno, NV 89502. The tasting room is open Tuesday to Thursday from 11 AM to 6 PM and Friday & Saturday from11 AM to 7 PM and features Original Orange Blossom Ale, Black Noddy Lager and Tule Duck Red Ale on tap, as well as a variety of merchandise, kegs and growlers. Buckbean Brewing Company, Reno’s only production microbrewery and the largest in the Silver State, is dedicated to supporting environmental education and events in the Reno/Tahoe area.
This partnership is a natural fit for Buckbean Brewing Company since the brewery plans to use cans for their Original Orange Blossom Ale and Black Noddy Lager in an effort to reduce waste, improve taste and cut down on energy use. Cans cut down on cardboard waste during packing, are lighter than bottles and require less fuel to ship, are the most easily recyclable material and use 70% less paper and cardboard than beer packed in bottles. Buckbean also donates all its used grain to the University Of Nevada College Of Agriculture to be used as a food source for cattle.
