Who Killed the Electric Car?

Join the EnAcT Film Festival as they present "Who Killed the Electric Car?" If you have not seen the film here's your chance! The movie is being shown FREE at University of Nevada, Reno, in the Joe Crowley Student Union theater starting at 7pm. Who Killed the Electric Car? (2006) is the story of the California Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) mandate and automaker's first attempt at building 100% electric cars. (Actually, it's a second attempt as they were building EVs 100 years ago.) Featured in the movie is the saga of GM's EV-1 from creation to recall to grassroots protests and finally the EV-1's destruction. And that with a waiting list of thousands who wanted to buy them.
